Shamandome Camp
at Burning Man
Shamandome was born in Black Rock City in 2005, when Windspirit and Earlyman joined the Heebeegeebee Healers to offer Core Shamanic healing they'd learned under Michael Harner in a single, 14-foot geodesic dome.
In 2006, the demand for healing was so great that the dome overflowed with visitors, and their focus shifted toward group healing in circle.
In 2007 Shamandome emerged as its own theme camp, swelling to 15 campers. We added a second 14' dome, and again were busy from dawn to dusk. Our camp became well-known in BRC for our One-on-One Healing and Power Animal circles.
In 2008, we joined Nectar Village. A number of well-experienced practitioners became part of our tribe.
In 2009 we added a 24' dome.
By 2010, the camp had grown to a tight knit group of twenty-five. We added the Sacred Sexploratorium in a 16' dome, and we served over 2,000 clients during the burn.
The last year we were part of Nectar Village was 2013, when we added a 48-foot Kitchen Tent. We joined a village only once since then, in 2017, as part of Anahasana Village.
We're now a fully-mature, invitation-only community of about 45-55 Shamanistas. Our infrastructure includes one 32' dome, two 24' domes, and a handful of intimate "healing huts", along with over 800 sq feet of Chill Space (in which we often host overflow Power Animal circles). Our Kitchen Tent is the hub of our camper community.
We invite guest healers to use our spaces in the afternoons and evenings for workshops, lecture series and healing sessions.
Shamandome has remained small for a reason: we manifest an intimate family of healers.
